Black Tusk Helicopter Inc. started out on the ramp of the Squamish airport with a Bell 206 "Jetranger" in 1993 doing charters and airtaxi. Two years later, after aquiring our first Bell 214 "BigLifter", things took a dramatic change. With a hook rating of 8,000lbs, we were now in the heavy lift business, from helicopter logging and firefighting to precision lifts for aerial construction and equipment moves. In 1998 Black Tusk Helicopter Inc. became a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization for Bell 214, Bell 206, and Eurocopter AS350. Since then, our fleet has grown to include 2 Bell 214's, an Eurocopter AS350BA "Astar" as well as the original Jetranger.
