Description

Richard Brissenden is a mining executive and corporate director with over thirty years of experience in the resource sector. A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and Certified Director (ICD.D), he serves on the board and audit committee for several mining companies, including McEwen Mining, Ryan Gold Corp., and Corona Gold Corporation. As chairman and president of Excellon Resources Inc. from 1991 to 2008, he led the company through the discovery, development and production stages of a high-grade silver/lead/zinc mine in Northeastern Mexico.

Banro's principal founder, Arnold is the Executive Vice-President of the Corporation and has been involved in corporate finance activities for over 20 years. He is also President and Managing Director of Sterling Portfolio Securities Inc., a private venture capital firm based in Toronto.

The Corporation's common shares are listed on the NYSE MKT (the " NYSE MKT "). The NYSE MKT LLC Company Guide permits the NYSE MKT to consider the laws, customs and practices of foreign issuers in relaxing certain NYSE MKT listing criteria, and to grant exemptions from NYSE MKT listing criteria based on these considerations. A company seeking relief under these provisions is required to provide written certification from independent local counsel that the non-complying practice is not prohibited by home country law.
