Vancouver Island owned and operated, the Atlas Group was founded in 1999 by Hadi Abassi, a mechanical engineer with an extensive background in the BC building industry. Supported by a talented team of managers and employees who share his vision of quality and customer service, today we have more than 100 staff and operate a state-of-the-art production facility on a three-acre site in Nanaimo, BC.

Engineered Wood Products Using advanced technology, Atlas Truss manufactures engineered lumber that is consistently straight and strong, and that resists bowing, twisting, and shrinking. That means less waste, easier installation, and higher design values for starters; plus fewer callbacks, shorter cycle times, more design flexibility, and lower overall installed cost in the end. iLevel® Trus Joist® TimberStrand® LSL, Microllam® LVL, and Parallam® PSL are structural solutions you can count on guaranteed. Atlas Truss is unique in that we offer a group of products designed to work together as a system. Our software tools incorporate this system approach to help reduce job site waste, and generate accurate material lists through estimating, modeling and design, operations, and collaborating processes. Utilizing the predictable performance of our lumber and engineered wood products, our software applications, such as Javelin® Structural Frame design software, create an optimized frame. 3-D modeling capabilities allow builders and dealers to interact with the structural frame, finding potential conflicts that can be solved while still in the planning stages.

Since the first truss rolled out of our shop, we’ve been committed to designing and building outstanding products and developing strong relationships within the Vancouver Island construction industry.
