Assiniboine Tipis

Description

Assiniboine Tipis --also called lodges, teepees or tepees, are manufactured in Lundar, Manitoba. Our style is inspired by the traditional Sioux design. It is the most popular on the Great Plains today, often seen during Pow-Wows and Rendezvous. We make our tipis as strong as possible. All stress areas are reinsforced. Cover main seams are double-sewn, raw edges are hemmed to keep from fraying. Door opening edges are selvedge for more resistance. Bottom edges are also hemmed and have stake loops. Lacing pin holes are reinforced and stitched by hand. Door openings are oval shaped (see picture).
