Family owned and operated, Amix was incorporated in 1971 and has been in the salvage industry for over 37 years. Amix is one of the largest scrap metal recyclers in British Columbia.

As well as the fixed car crushers at our Surrey facility, Amix operates mobile car crushers, and a fleet of highway trucks servicing most small communities in BC. This results in the removal and recycling of 40,000 cars per year, a valuable resource to the community and province. As well, Amix services the Greater Vancouver area with self-loading and roll off container trucks that collect scrap metal. Amix sorts the metal then processes it for recycling and sale.

Amix has extensive experience in dismantling and demolition work.

Amix owns and operates barges, tugs and an inventory of specialized scrap handling equipment which allows for the manipulation and movement of thousands of tons of material quickly and efficiently.

Amix’s water business has lifting capabilities of up to 600 tons and 250’ x 90’ of operational deck space, 1,800 metric tons or more can be transported.

In 2007, Amix expanded their operation in the Lower Mainland to include a 15 acre storage, service and sales facility in the Chilliwack area. Most of Amix’s commercial vehicles depart from this site daily and are serviced here by on-site mechanical staff. Amix also has a large inventory of used, good quality steel, pipe, plate, and I-beam for resale at this location.
