Western Logistics was established in 1990 to provide a high-quality transportation and distribution service for Canadian manufacturers and resellers of new office furniture. The service involves consolidation of less-than-truckload shipments in the producing areas, and a value-added full-service distribution functions at each destination, including storage options and regional truck services.

Under a programme of regionalization, Calgary and Edmonton terminals work together as an integrated unit to provide a full range of services to points in Alberta and the B.C. Interior. Calgary and Edmonton together offer almost 35,000 sq. ft. of quality warehouse space to support these regional operations.

Regional Development, by which we mean saturation coverage of our territories. In 2007-08, we have implemented this in the Great Lakes area of the US, and throughout Atlantic Canada, both extensive and demanding markets to serve well. This means that we're giving far better service into secondary and tertiary areas than before. To do so, we're using more specialized equipment, more straight trucks and short trailer-pups with power gates, and providing a lot of intra-regional services.
