Due to a lack of human resources, specific skill and/or experience, some Aboriginal communities/organisations often require assistance in bridging partnerships and economic opportunities through the development of proposals and appropriate strategic alliances. ASG recognizes that these communities lack neither the creativity nor the desire to empower themselves to be competitive as unique and sustaining Aboriginal businesses in a western-dominated society; however, additional support is sometimes required to bring this/their vision to fruition. Economic Development Officers and band managers are often looking for consulting bodies that have an understanding of Aboriginal community issues and a grasp of the economic opportunities that are available. It is a primary goal of ASG to assist in creating these opportunities, building strategic partnerships and developing acceptable economic growth within the Aboriginal community.
