Description

Esh-Kn-Am Investments Joint Venture (the doing business as (DBA) name for 9110 Investments Ltd.) was established July 1, 1997 by the Cook’s Ferry, Siska, Coldwater and Nooaitch Indian Bands. In September 2007 Esh-Kn-Am Cultural Resources Management Services was established as a Department of the Joint Venture.

All decisions of the Joint Venture are made by the Management Committee which is comprised of one nominee from each of the Bands listed above who in turn are ex officio members of the Board of Directors of 9110 Investments Ltd.

Head office is located on the Cooks Ferry Indian Band IR 19 Entlqwekkinh - secondly (Spences Bridge, BC) and the Cultural Resources Management Services Department office is located on the Coldwater Indian Band IR (Merritt, BC).

At present, Esh-Kn-Am Investments Joint Venture currently has approximately 19 FTEs which will increase/ fluctuate throughout the fiscal year.

Business/Products & Services

Qwa’eet (50% owned by 9110 Investments Ltd.) is the owner of the Forest License A55525 and is in a limited partnership with Aspen Planners Ltd. who has agreed to provide management, administration and supervision services in accordance with the partnership agreement. The Forest License is deemed a non-replaceable timber license within the Merritt Timber Supply Area (TSA).

Our Cultural Resources Management Services (CRMS) department gathers information to identify cultural and natural resources in response to land development referrals from government agencies (provincial & federal) as well as private companies & organizations to ensure proper consultation is conducted in respect of Nlaka’pamux Title & Rights.

CRMS also utilizes a web-based GIS application to manage data relevant to referral and land use planning which allows various agencies/companies to upload data in the form of shape files to the application for analysis, permitting responsible land use planning decisions occur based on Nlaka’pamux stewardship policies. Accounting and bookkeeping services are administered at head office (HQ) and audit services are outsourced to a reputable company in Kamloops, BC.
