Ontario Institute of Agrologists (OIA) For over 50 years, the OIA has served its mission statement – to protect the public by licensing and safe guarding the competence of qualified practitioners and to build public confidence in Ontario’s agriculture, agri-food, and agri-business sector.we provide several opportunities for students and teachers to experience curriculum based learning outside of the classroom. It is becoming increasingly important for students of all ages to be involved in a variety of outdoor education experiences.

When science is done properly, the good ideas flourish and the bad ideas perish. We continue to build on good science to provide us with answers about the natural and human-influenced world from large-scale issues like climate change to smaller-scale problems like the decline of the Monarch butterfly population. Many people might be shocked to learn that virtually everything we have learned about the planet (and beyond!) has come about because of scientific research.
