Windsor Photo Outfitters started life as a small home-run vintage camera business, founded by John Lachance in the early 1990's. After several years of steady growth, John took his business to a store front on Tecumseh rd. East in Windsor Ontario, Canada. In 1994 TurnAround Camera opened its doors officially to the public (with limited hours), with the addition of an onsite techno-wizard, Adrian Harte. The store grew. Increased demand for more services and products and the addition of new equipment, accessories and services prompted John and Adrian to open the store full-time. In 2003 the store had grown to the physical limits of the space used by TurnAround Camera. The structure in which the store was situated became available for sale, at which time John and Adrian decided to move next-door to the larger space the store now occupies. 2003 also saw the addition of digital cameras and electronic imaging, and the addition of Trevor Laframboise. In 2005, TurnAround Camera & Digital became Windsor Photo Outfitters to reflect the change in the type of products that were being offered at the store. In Early 2008 John Lachance decided it was time to move on to other things. So he sold the business to Adrian Harte, his long time associate. Adrian and Trevor continue to provide the same quality imaging products for the creative photographer, and are dedicated to the art, craft and hobby of photography, through classes, seminars and special event days. Windsor Photo Outfitters is now the only locally owned and operated full service camera store in the region. Why not support your local businesses and stop in and see us?
