Whiting Equipment has been in operation in Canada since 1930.
At its Welland, Ontario location, it designs and manufactures electric acc furnaces used for mineral fusion and steel making; its line of Swenson evaporators, crystallizers and dryers; railway and transit maintenance equipment; and overhead cranes.

Whiting has a "Certificate of Authorization" from Professional
Engineers Ontario, and also "Certificates of Authorization" from
ASME and The National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel
Inspectors to use the "U Stamp" for pressure vessels.
