Western Scale Co. Limited (WSCL) designs, manufactures, and sells state of the art industrial weighing equipment across Canada and throughout the world. For nearly fifty years, we have worked to be an industry pioneer, providing our customers with superior scale systems to weigh, monitor, and control material throughout processing. Products range from standard weighing systems such as truck, platform and conveyor scales to custom systems featuring data acquisition software for PC integration.

In 1962, Western Scale Co. Limited was founded in Vancouver, British Columbia by David W. Frewin. From humble roots as a 3 person venture (Mr. Frewin, his wife and one employee) the company grew steadily before moving to the Vancouver suburb of Port Coquitlam in 1974. Having built up experience in process control systems, Western Scale adapted early as the weighing industry shifted towards electronics. Since the development of its first electronic indicators in 1976, WSCL has become Canada's leading manufacturer of industrial weighing instruments.

Western Scale custom designs conveyor scales to meet the unique and exacting needs of each individual installation. Factors such as conveyor length, angle, speed, and material type are analyzed and incorporated into the design to get accurate and repeatable weighments. Western Scale has been engineering and manufacturing high performance scale indicators for over 30 years. Indicator terminals are combined with a load receiving element (scale) to form a complete weighing system.
