Description

Providing operational, research and consulting services in forensic reconstructional meteorology, renewable energy and strategic and tactical weather modification, including:

1) forensic reconstruction - acquisition, review and interpretation of meteorological data and imagery, including site inspections and interviews,
2) boundary layer modelling - wind farm pre-assessment and tower placement,
3) land acquisition - lease and option negotiation for wind farm development,
4) wind profile measurement - SODAR operations, WAsP resource assessment,
5) energy demand forecasts - heating, cooling, winter storm incidence and tracking,
6) hazard evaluation - climate change and severe weather risk assessment for proposed and existing industrial installations including wind farm facilities,
7) general forecasts - lightning and storm hazard, daily wind risk, real-time icing and severe weather assessment,
8) international weather modification - program design, field instrumentation, staffing, project management, media and public relations.

Clients:

Past clients and projects include the hail suppression program of the Alberta Research Council, paleoclimate studies for the Geological Survey of Canada, rain enhancement over the City of Istanbul, weather observations and pilot briefings with Environment Canada, severe weather forecasting and aircraft control for WMI, ice-nuclei studies and weather-modification operations for the State of Texas, aircraft routing and international forecasting as Director of Meteorological Operations for Skyplan International, ground-generator (cloud-seeding) operations with Irving P. Krick and Associates, strategic flight planning for INTERMAP, bid proposals for Kenn Borek Air, appearances on Access Television, wind energy and SODAR prospecting for Canadian renewable energy interests including VisionQuest, participation in forensic reconstruction investigations, and numerous specialty studies including climate change risk assessments for national and international mining and utility companies.

International projects and emergency operations are a specialty.
