Description

The goal of this program is to reduce the incidence of FASD births. We provide education sessions at all prenatal classes about zero alcohol consumption during pregnancy and attend at least 3 prenatal classes per year.

Health Canada believes that prevention and health promotion can bring health care costs down and increase quality of life. The Department is dedicated to meeting the challenges by supporting research and promoting partnerships with researchers across the country and the world. We also work together with other provinces and territories to test ways to improve and ensure the Canadian health care system.
