Vogel of Canada is all about family. It’s about our family sharing our passion for making exceptional chairs with your family. We have been creating fine, handcrafted upholstered chairs in Canada for over 45 years. As second-generation owners, we (Candace and Sharyl Vogel) learned every aspect of the custom furniture business from our parents, Bernie and Gloria. You could say we grew up with the business. Our chairs combine traditional craftsmanship and company heritage with a modern aesthetic. Customers can choose from an extensive selection of frames, fabrics and wood finishes.

Vogel of Canada Ltd. is a Canadian owned and operated, second generation family business with a long-standing reputation for high quality upholstered furniture. The company was founded in 1965 and for many years specialized in the residential sector. Since 2000 the company has diversified into the commercial arena, providing custom upholstery for some of the finest hotels in the world (see partial list of recent installations, below). From the initial design phase through final trim accents, we pride ourselves on full service and attention to every detail.

For over 40 years, the Vogel name has been synonymous with the finest in upholstered chairs. During this time we have constantly striven to improve quality, construction, and styling, while offering excellent value and service to our customers. Quality and attention to detail are hallmarks of the beautifully styled vogel line. Each piece is individually hand-crafted and bench-made. Customers have the option of over one hundred frame styles and a thousand luxurious fabric choices as well as a variety of sumptuous leathers.

We employ 40 highly skilled craftspeople. Over half of them have been with the company for more than 20 years. The Vogel team works out of our factory facilities, located in Vaughan, Ontario. Customers can browse through the showroom located over the factory, and then order the chairs through their local retailer or interior designer.

Our customers are typically long-term customers. They return repeatedly because they get the exact chair they want, constructed to the highest quality and it will endure over time. No wonder some of our clients are second-generation – the children of our parents’ clients. High-end designers also own and recommend Vogel chairs.
