Description
In December 2005 Vestshell achieved ISO-9001 accreditation as a response the constantly evolving requirements of our customers. In January of 2009 Vestshell Inc was audited, and in March of 2009 was accredited and registered as a manufacturer compliant with the stringent demands of AS9100. During the same audit visit Vestshell was again certified to ISO-9001. Our customers have always been generous with help and advice. They remain a source of help and information about what Vestshell Inc. should do to maintain our reputation as a responsive supply partner.
The rapid prototype protocol is a cost-effective option in scenarios when engineers require hardware to test a design or when limited test models must be built without a final design. Rapid prototyping can also be ideal for small quantities of complex parts. Here, one takes full advantage of investment casting's capabilities, without the cost of hard tooling. In other situations, the cost of rapid prototyping can be often be reduced by using conventional methods that are fast-tracked. Part complexity, design stability and design features all play a role in this determination.
From the earliest days of the concept, Vestshell has been producing prototype castings from three-dimensional computer-generated patterns. To meet the needs of customers, Vestshell developed a proprietary procedure to overcome the inherent difficulties of the first polymer patterns. Today, thanks to ten years of experience and the evolution of pattern materials, Vestshell offers a wide variety of options in materials, configuration detail, surface quality, risk levels and qualification inspection levels.
As you’re certainly aware, the investment casting process is a complex collection of sub-processes. As such, equipment manufacturers specialize and supply segments of the process – wax presses, melting equipment, preheat furnaces – usually based on the experience gained in other manufacturing sectors. As a result, many foundries struggle with a myriad of production and quality problems caused by widely size-disparate equipment. To avoid this situation, Vestshell has built size-compatible equipment for the entire process.
