Originally formed in early 1968, Versatech Products Inc. haspioneered much of the technology seen in oil spill response products offered to the world-wide market today. Versatech is one of the largest and most diversified spill response equipmentmanufacturers in North America and markets its products throughout the world through a network of sales representatives and agents. Versatech manufactures eight standard types of containment booms, deployment and storage systems for containment booms, oil skimmers, and SeaLander landing craft workboats.
Our team of experienced engineers and designers often design and produce custom equipment to meet specific or unusual needs that cannot be satisfied with ¿off-the-shelf ¿ equipment.

Versatech spill containment booms feature advanced containment capability and exceptional reliability to handle a wide range of spill volumes, sea conditions, currents and locations. Booms manufactured by Versatech have been solving a wide range of both conventional and unusual containment problems for many years including permanent protection of risk-prone areas (tanker terminals, plant outfalls, etc.) and protection of wildlife reserves and other ecologically sensitive areas.

Oil Spill Containment Booms: Eight standard types to suit any spill situation. Solid buoyancy, Inflatable and self-inflating types, RF welded seams for highest durability, wide range of materials, lengths and sizes. Trade names - ZOOOM Booom TM , Inshore Boom, River Boom, Offshore Boom, ShoreSeal Boom, PermaGuard Boom, General Purpose Boom, and Silt Curtain Containment Boom. Available in PVC, Urethane, and XR-5 fabrics.


Oil Skimmers: Hand-held to ocean going types utilising disc, brush, drum, belt, and weir technologies to encompass any spilled volume of any type of oil. Trade names: Versatech disc skimmer, Pedco weir, Abanaki skimmers.
Oil Sorbents: Biodegradable and non-biodegradable types. Hydrophobic sorbents specifically for collecting oil from the surface of water. Universal sorbents to absorb any spilled liquid, chemical, or oil. Biologically active sorbent for in-situ remediation of hydrocarbons. Trade names - Ergon Environmental Products, Enpac.


Products range from Booms, socks, pads, rolls, spill kits, particulates, mats, drip pans, drum toppers, pillows, sweeps, static resistant sorbents, universal and oil-only no lint dimpled pads, lightweight sorbent pads, secondary containment, spill prevention and industrial handling products.
Workboats: Aluminum spill response and landing-craft workboats. High cargo capacities, high speed with low power input, large flat work deck. Ideal for spill response operations, cargo transport, search and rescue and many other uses. Diesel or gas engines, inboard, outboard, I/O and jet drives available. Lengths available from 18 feet to 37 feet. Trade names - SeaLander TM , Sea Truck TM .


Accessory Items: Complete range of accessories for the deployment, use, retrieval, storage, transport, and maintenance of oil spill response equipment. Helicopter liftable boom transportation/storage/deployment device. Boom reels, containers, pumps, power packs, spill response trailers, floating oil storage containers, portable tanks, portable berming systems, deployment aids. Trade names - HeliPak, ZooomPak, VersaTank, VersaBerm, Boom Vane.

Oil Spill Response Training Courses. Equipment Commissioning: On-scene equipment commissioning to ensure all equipment is in 100% peak operating condition. Training courses available and crews are trained in the proper, safe and effective use of all equipment.

Equipment Evaluation: Experienced personnel available for site visits to assess existing spill response capabilities. Functionality, suitability and quantity of equipment are evaluated against potential spill scenarios to ensure clients are well prepared in the event of an emergency
