Many students around the world would like to study Englishunder such ideal circumstances, but very few are given thechance. I hope you will use this opportunity to learn as muchas you can about our language and our culture. If you do, I
am sure your experience here will be pleasant and rewarding.

INSTITUTIONAL PHILOSOPHY

Vancouver English Centre`s goal is to provide programs thatfulfill the needs of English as a Second Language student.
Since many ESL students already have some knowledge of grammar, our programs also include the improvement of speaking and comprehensive skills. We do everything possible to maintain an environment that supports our classroom instruction.
Consequently, our ``English only`` policy is a fundamental aspect of the school philosophy. We ask our students to use only
English, in and out of class. Another important aspect of our philosophy is class size. There are usually 8 to 12 students per class. This intensive instruction helps you learn rapidly.
