We provide general mental health information, surveys, post-comments, quizzes, newsletter and a blog. tricitypsychology.com’s publisher, Owen James, PhD., decides which topics should be included on the website. A goal of our editorial process is to provide consumer mental health information. New topics for the Shrink Rap and Psychobabble Newsletter are chosen based on consumer interest, new developments that influence current practice, advances in prevention and the prevalence of conditions. All text pieces, graphics and tools are subject to a standardized review process.tricitypsychology.com has no external sources of funds.The editor and web developer receive no sponsorship or remuneration for their roles and provide services voluntarily. tricitypsychology.com does not accept advertising or any form of sponsorship from any outside source that manufactures or promotes the use of products for the treatment of mental health concerns. We hope that this measure will offset the overwhelming presence of pharmaceutical ads on other counselling websites. We want you to be clear that no advertiser, organization, or pharmaceutical company, at any time, has any direct influence or impact on our editorial decisions, editorial direction, or what we publish on the site thus we maintain absolute editorial independence.

In 1998 when our company Tri-City Psychology Services was established we quickly discovered that people in our community didn’t have much of a clue about what psychologists did! For this reason we decided to produce a newsletter to unravel this mystery, and we it called Psychobabble!.
