Company Description


Trecan was established in 1962 as the Canadian subsidiary of Thermal Research, USA. In 1986 a controlling interest was purchased by MBB Mechanical Services. In 1993 MBB merged with Trecan to form MBB-Trecan. In 1996 Trecan was sold to one of the owners of MBB and renamed Trecan Combustion Limited.


Trecan specializes in the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning industrial combustion and incineration equipment and systems. The product range includes incineration systems for: medical waste; pharmaceutical waste; industrial solid waste; industrial liquid waste and fumes and waste gases; animal crematoriums; high efficiency industrial burners; snow melters; fired heaters; and submerged combustion equipment. Incineration systems include waste heat recovery and flue gas scrubbers to meet local air quality regulations.


Geographic Marketing Areas:


The firm's traditional market has been 80% Canada, 15% USA and 5% other exports. Recently, substantial effort has been directed towards export sales in emerging countries through direct enquiries and Agents. Trecan is marketing in: Taiwan, Turkey, The United Arab Emirates, and South America (Brazil and Uruguay).
