The Treaty 7 Health Secretariat serves the Treaty 7 communities in both an advisory and consultative capacity for Health Services funded by First Nations and Inuit Health (FNIH) through the Contribution Agreement framework. We identify and develop changing objectives in Health and maintain and develop partnerships between T7MC and the communities of Treaty 7 and their Health Directorates. We provide channels for information concerning health, health programming, health funding, and related issues to Treaty 7.

Economic Development Treaty 7 Management Corporation completes these 5 “core” areas as identified by Indian & Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) through several different departments including Health , Education , Housing , Economic Development , I.T. , and other program-driven initiatives Our Mission Statement To provide effective advisory services in order to continue to build capacity for all Treaty 7 First Nations in a fair and consistent manner.

The T7MC Regional Economic Partnership Department supports the development of effective partnerships between First Nation, Industry, Government and other Stakeholders. We provide access to pertinent information related to regional economic development and build capacity in the Treaty 7 First Nation Area in economic development. We promote and support strategic community economic development partnership projects and provide advice in specialized functional areas of First Nations economic development and economic partnership development in support of other REPCs in the provincial network.

Unlike other Tribal Councils in Alberta and across Canada, T7MC does not provide program service delivery. Our mandate is to provide advisory services in areas of common interest to Treaty 7 First Nations. We try to facilitate, coordinate, and develop positions for lobbying in areas such as Treaties, Education, Health, Community Development, Social Development and Economic Development. However, this cannot be done without community input. In all these areas each First Nation is represented on the committees set up to develop the positions for the leadership to decide upon.

On March 31, 2005, Treaty 7 Tribal Council was dissolved. On April 1, 2005, to better meet the needs of Treaty 7 First Nation members, Treaty 7 Management Corporation (T7MC) was created in its place. In the spirit of Treaty 7 Tribal Council, Treaty 7 Management Corporation's primary purpose remains to be an advisory organization for the Nations of the Treaty 7 region of Alberta.
