Thermal King Glass is a family business established in 1980 by Roy McIlveen. All of our staff, including 5 family members, pride ourselves on our commitment to helping our customers make the most informed purchase decision regarding any of the products we sell. If you are an old customer you may know us as TK Glass Limited (our legal name). Thermal King Glass started out in 1980 as a full service glass shop specializing in upgrading old windows to thermal windows. Today we continue to provide customers with a selection of high quality Energy Star Rated vinyl windows, with a choice of warranty levels, energy efficiency levels and installation methods. Our in-house installation crew has been trained in the proper renovation window installation methods to ensure the best possible performance from your windows. We also specialize in skylight, sunroom and canopy installations that can be customized specifically to your needs. Thermal King Glass has been a member in good standing of the Better Business Bureau since 1981. We have received many nominations for a Torch Award for customer service and we were a finalist in 2009. ( see BBB letters ) BC Hydro Power Smart Home Improvements Program In 1991 Thermal King Glass was Registered and trained by BC Hydro Power Smart Home Improvements Program. As one of the original group of registered contractors we received extensive training in "House as a System" home improvements. This training involved testing of homes for air leakage, draftproofing, installing Powersmart rated vinyl windows and doors, upgrading insulation in attics, walls and crawlspaces, installing proper exhaust ventilation systems, efficient thermostats and CO2 monitors. At the end of a home retrofit we would also test to make sure the homeowner was safe from CO2 back-drafting into the home. Thermal King Glass was the only full service contractor registered with the Powersmart Program from the first day until it ended in 2002.
