About
The Word Guild serves as Canada’s national hub for Christian writers and communicators, uniting authors, editors, publishers, speakers, booksellers, librarians, and others passionate about faith and the written word. Sharing a common statement of faith, the organization cultivates a supportive environment where members can enhance their professional skills, forge meaningful connections, and inspire one another in their calling. Founded in 2002 by N.J. Lindquist and Wendy Elaine Nelles to sustain the legacy of the former God Uses Ink conference, the guild now hosts the Write!Canada conference, offers extensive professional development resources, and presents the esteemed Word Awards. Its mission is to empower Canadians communicating from a Judeo-Christian worldview to grow in faith and excellence, thereby reaching and uplifting readers across the nation and beyond.
