The Scots, founded in 1768, is Canada’s oldest Scottish cultural organization based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It promotes Scottish traditions, heritage, and community support through youth programs, grants to cultural groups, and stewardship of Victoria Park. The society aids Scottish youth programs, Highland dance troupes, Gaelic colleges, and hosts events like the Halifax Celtic Festival. It provides scholarships, maintains monuments, and supports the Halifax Highland Dance Association and Dalhousie University.
