Description
Joining the military in 1985, Col. Marc Gagne trained as an infantry officer in the Royal 22nd Regiment. He was posted to Germany as a platoon commander before deploying to the former Yugoslavia in 1992. He has operational experience in Bosnia and Afghanistan. He commanded the 1st Battalion, Royal 22nd Regiment from 2007 to 2009. He has previously served at the Canadian Expeditionary Force Command Headquarters and the Land Forces Quebec Area and attended the U.S. Army War College. Gagne and his wife, Marlene, have two children, Jean-Martin and Catherine.
