Glen the Plumber solidified second spot in the Caledon Women's Hockey League scoring twice in the final chapter to edge third place Remax Wet 5-4. Donna deBoer with two goals and an assist led Glen's. Charlene Noble scored the winner and set up a single. Kim Lee and Kim Hennick also scored. Glenda Labine, Jean Schaefer, and Tyna Holder added an assist each. Mandy Clemens, the loop's top scorer pocketed a pair for Remax and aided on a third. Nicole Maugeri was in with a goal and assist. Dely Ferrace snapped a single. Kat Rideout and Ashley Smidgelsky had two assists each with Silvana Tabani the helper on one. TIGHT DEFENSE Jodi Bellaera racked up her sixth with of the year for first place Armstrong Petroleum as they blanked George's Arena Sports, 2-0. Caroline Kirkpatrick and Mary Briscoe were the Petroleum's scoring punch with assists by Sonya Boyd and Janet Eagleson. FOUR IN FIRST Cucci's Hair Salon outscored Bolton Motor Products 4-2 in the first and won 6-2. Sandra Moody and Pam Paolini hit the target with two each for Cucci. Moody also set up a third. Lyn Malcher drilled one and had two helpers with Cathi Begley claiming a goal and assist. Dawn Civiero was the creator of one. Mandy Clemens scored both Bolton Motor Products goals. Krista Wallace, Kat Rideout and Paula Oates were engineers on singles. GREAT GOALTENDING Wendy Rowland of Albion Massage and Remax Specialists' Joanne Love put on a goaltending clinic as the two teams played to a 1-1 sawoff. Lorelea Rice on a solo sortie put Remax on top early. Ann Blom tied the tilt before the period ended on a three-way passing play with Heather Hall and Michelle Wakelin.
