We offer our customer's design and construction consulting to ensure effective and efficient power line construction. We supply and install new communication and power distribution systems to all residential and commercial developers. We provide full maintenance and restoration services for all utility owners / contractors.

Scotty brings 23 years of experience of working in the Hydrovac industry to our team. Scotty’s knowledge of the industry stems back to the beginning of his career; where he operated a Hydrovac in the oil and gas industry. Over his career, Scotty diversified himself working with numerous types of equipment all focused in on the hydrovacing industry. Scotty’s knowledge and experience of this industry has assisted him to project management on a wide variety of multi-million dollar projects within western Canada.

Kent brings with him 15 years of experience in civil construction, construction materials and business management. During his career, Kent has worked for some of the world’s largest construction materials companies and has business management experience both in Canada and abroad. Kent holds a Masters of Business Administration from Hariot-Watt University in Edinburgh and Civil Engineering Diploma from NAIT.

TC Backhoe was founded in 1975 by Tom Lavender, a Journeyman Power Lineman. Since that time, the business has grown into a multi faceted organization which proudly serves the Alberta and Werstern Canada market. Today, General Manager Darryl Northrupp and his staff oversee a growing staff of over 90 employees, and operate a large and modern equipment fleet from our headquarters in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
