For over 37 years the SunShade difference has been our ability to design, manufacture, and install high quality Glastar Sunrooms with a proven service commitment that is unmatched in the industry. Our company is involved in the entire process of designing, manufacturing, installation, and after sale service for all of our Glastar Sunrooms. We serve locations in Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario (Kenora), and Saskatchewan.
Today I'd like to discuss some issues that have been escalating throughout the years. Having pioneered the sunroom industry in Manitoba we have been in business substantially longer than anyone else. Naturally, people will look to us for solutions when they experience problems with a sunroom. While we are pleased to provide service to our past customers (it has been our policy not to Charge for service calls, even if the job is well past warranties), it is another matter altogether when it is someone else's product.
What type of sunroom is right for you depends a lot on what you want to accomplish by having one and what you can afford to spend. The fact that our enclosures are not “packages" but custom built for your home has given us an outstanding reputation. The fact that we have been around for more than 28 years and stand behind our products has increased customer satisfaction.
Our company name is Sunshade Products Limited and “Glastar” is the trade name of our sunroom system. In the late 1970’s as a family business involved with awnings, canopies, and patio covers, we recognized the need for screen enclosures to provide people with an insect free environment. The company started making larger and larger awnings to shade deck areas that were too hot, and then customers began asking to add screens. Customers then asked us to add glass with the screens to keep out the dust and rain. As manufacturing techniques were further developed and refined we incorporated a combination of glass and screen to lengthen our summers while still maintaining the “feeling” of being outdoors.
