This course introduces students to the principles of corporate governance & corporate social responsibility, the manner in which corporations are regulated and managed, in Canada, the UK and the US as well as various other jurisdictions. As the dominance of the corporation as the central agent of the market economy increases, the concepts, issues, and problems will be developed and identified within the broader economic and legal context.

This course is intended to focus the student’s attention on what it means to be a consumer in a market-oriented society and to develop skills as a marketer in meeting consumer needs and developing marketing strategy.
