Southwell Controls Limited is engaged in the design, manufacture and marketing of industrial instrumentation and controls systems. Southwell Control's principal export products are Automatic Liquid Samplers and BLOX Black Liquor Oxidation Sensors.


Samplers provide representative collection and storage of influent/effluent samples for subsequent laboratory analysis. The samplers are designed to satisfy various regulatory protocol and will accept a variety of input signals and program configurations for easy integration with other monitoring equipment.


Applications include pulp and paper mills, municipal water treatment facilities, power utilities, mines, manufacturing plants, testing laboratories and environmental regulatory agencies.


The BLOX Black Liquor Oxidation Sensor assists in the control and operation of power recovery boilers used to process black liquor at pulp and paper mills. The BLOX sensor was designed and patented by the Pulp and Paper Research Institute of Canada.


Southwell Controls Limited operates through a network of exclusive distributors. Its primary market is North America, however its products have been sold worldwide in places such as Portugal, Argentina, Malaysia and New Zealand.


The company is currently seeking to establish relationships with companies involved in the supply of environmental control and monitoring instrumentation and systems.
