SnowScan is a newly formed division of Sensors & Software Inc. whose principals have been actively involved in the advancement of subsurface imaging sensors for over two decades. The SnowScan snow depth mapping systems represent our continued commitment to adapting this technology to new markets.
The technology used to map snow depth with the SnowScan systems has been around for over 25 years in one form or another. Until now this type of mapping system was too large, expensive, and complex to offer to ski area operations managers, and was used mainly for military, government, mining, and engineering applications. SnowScan engineers have recently made major breakthroughs in this technology, resulting in the easy-to-use, practical SnowScan systems.
The SnowScan goal is a simple one: provide the best, most cost-effective snow depth mapping technology to our customers.
All the equipment is designed and manufactured in-house to exacting standards ensuring superior quality from concept to end-product.
