Sirius Financial Services was started in 1991 by Susan St. Amand. Susan ’s vision was to build an unique independent value-based financial service business providing financial information and advice based on specific client objectives. CLIENTS Our clients include individuals, entrepreneurs and investors seeking assistance in visualizing how their complex financial structures co-exist and how each aspect relates to their big-picture planning process. We examine the impact of specific human risk factors on clients, their business interests, their families, their philanthropic ideals, etc. We assist businesses requiring information and advice on employee benefits, executive compensation strategies, key person insurance coverage, and shareholder value protection. CULTURE Our number-one commitment is to keep our clients ’ interests first. Each client has a unique set of circumstances. Our creative solutions are custom designed to meet each individual situation. A TEAM APPROACH We develop strong relationships with our clients and believe in providing a high-quality level of service. We act as a quarterback, bringing together the team of professional advisors and examining the interdependence of each of the links in our clients ’ financial and business worlds. We bring value to the planning process and we schedule an ongoing review to allow for any required revisions. EXPERIENCE Susan St. Amand has 21 years' experience in the financial services sector. Her designations include Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU – a financial planner with advanced knowledge in life and health insurance and employee benefits), Chartered Financial Consultant (CH.F.C. – a financial planner with advanced knowledge in wealth accumulation and retirement planning) and Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP). Susan has been a guest speaker at the annual summer school for the Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the Canadian Bar Association of Ontario, the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation TEB seminar series and various other local events. COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT Susan is a mother of two young girls and very active in her community. Her volunteer activities include past Chair of the ROHCF, past president of a local Kiwanis Club, past director of the local Life Underwriters Association (now ADVOCIS), past director of the local CLU and CH.F.C. chapter, past director for Joan of Arc Academy/Academie J'eanne D'Arc, current member of CALU and Executive with the Ottawa Chapter of STEP (Society for Trust and Estate Planning).
