Seaforth supports the activities of the Fundy Ocean Research Center for Energy (FORCE) through data acquisition, interpretation/assessment. Seaforth also manages the FORCE data repository. ArcGIS is used to fulfill on demand charting and data requests from project partners, as well as to maintain all FORCE related data in a unified repository. Seaforth provides project management and consulting for various ‘berth holders’, providing advanced technical services and coordination of research and development objectives.
The objective of this geotechnical investigation was to ascertain the subsoil conditions and acquire geotechnical design data related to the foundation engineering and installation of the Deep Panuke Production Field Centre (PFC) and export pipeline and a subsea isolation valve (SSIV). In order to provide this information a program of piezocone penetration test boreholes (PCPT) and seismic sampling boreholes were specified. The concept for the PFC is a mobile, jack-up, four legged structure founded on large diameter suction cans.
