Description

Scotia Speedworld is proud to announce Lumbermart as the new Thunder and Lightning division sponsor. Thunder and Lightning cars are four-cylinder streetcars with safety modifications. The Thunder division features Hondas and Volkswagens, the remaining brands compete in the Lightning division. These popular entry-level classes have grown tremendously since their inception in 2003. Both divisions run as part of Scotia Speedworld’s Weekly Racing Series. In business now for over 27 years, Lumbermart remains under the original O'Hearn Family ownership.

(Halifax, NS. April 14, 2013) Scotia Speedworld is excited to announce that Hydraulics Plus will be returning for a fourth season as the title sponsor of the Hydraulics Plus Bandolero division. The Bandolero class is the entry level class of stock cars racing at the 3/10-mile oval, with drivers in this class ranging from ages eight to 16. Introduced for the first time in Canada at Scotia Speedworld in 2006, a Bandolero is a spec-series, turnkey race car, designed to be a transitional step between a racing kart and a stock car.

What do I mean by cross road? Think about it. Over the past nine years, we have had a lot of drivers make this division a rung in their ladder to the top levels of the sport in this region, especially with the introduction of the US Legend Cars International Bandolero car in 2006.
