John Schulte began in the blacksmith business with his father in 1932. In 1942 the business started to manufacture brush cutting and clearing equipment and in 1948 John Schulte developed his first front mounted snow blower. Rock removal equipment was added to the company portfolio in 1963 and rotary cutters in 1987.
On November 6, 2000, Schulte Industries Ltd. joined the Alamo Group of Seguin, Texas. This was positive and pivotal change for Schulte allowing for growth in all areas of the business. Capital funding by the Alamo Group has allowed Schulte to expand and update its production capabilities as well as to accelerate the design and marketing of innovative products.
Schulte continues to develop and market innovative products that target agricultural, industrial and roadside maintenance applications. Schulte offers many exclusive features on its range of products that allow our customers to be more productive with greater reliability. Schulte began exporting equipment to the US in 1969 and export sales have grown to form a substantial portion of total sales. In 1999 Schulte Sales Ltd. was named the winner of both the Canadian Export Award for Canada and the Saskatchewan Trade Export Partnership Award.
As well as Canada and the United States, Schulte's products are regularly shipped to overseas markets in Australia, Western and Eastern Europe, South and Central America, Japan, Korea and Iceland.
