Eric Rosenbaum is Director of A&E Services at Hughes Associates, Inc, a consulting engineering firm specializing in fire protection and life safety. He is a registered Fire Protection Engineer with over 20 years of experience in health care fire safety, and is also a Fellow of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers. Eric is a Registered Professional Engineer in 11 states and the District of Columbia.

Tom Jaeger is President of Jaeger & Associates, LLC, a consulting engineering firm specializing in fire protection and life safety. A registered Fire Protection Engineer, he has 40 years of experience in health care fire safety. Tom is also a Society of Fire Protection Engineers Fellow. He was American Health Care Association’s (AHCA) and National Center for Assisted Living’s (NCAL) Fire/Life Safety Consultant for 39 years and Leading Age’s (formerly AAHSA) Fire/Life Safety Consultant for seven years.

After the Vencor acquisition, Dick worked out of Hillhaven’s Louisville, Kentucky, office for six months before deciding to pursue other opportunities. He accepted the Director of Renovations and Maintenance position for Life Care Centers of America in Cleveland, Tennessee. He served this role for nearly five years. Since his retirement in 2001, Dick has served as a private consultant for the industry in areas of maintenance, engineering, life safety and more.

Eric Kellen has over 25 years experience in engineering, project management, and training. He was formerly employed by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS), where he received specialized Life Safety Training, and additional training through CMS. As a Life Safety Code Specialist, he has performed hundreds of on-site surveys, and initial licensure and certification surveys. During his tenure with DADS, Eric observed that there were very few expert resources available to health care facilities, architects, and engineers to provide advice and counsel on life safety issues.
