PCCA Institute will provide exceptional educational products and services to meet the needs of lifelong learning in the profession of pharmacy worldwide. The Institute was founded to expand on the mission of the Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA), a leader in pharmacy compounding since 1981, using state-of-the-art education technology.

A compounding pharmacist may be able to provide solutions for challenges such as these. Working closely with the patient and the prescriber, compounding gives the pharmacist the means to customize medication to meet the individual needs of each patient.

The prescription was a success, and the pharmacist realized that others in his field faced similar demands to help patients who require compounded medications. This network of pharmacists, united by a commitment to meet patient needs, was the foundation of PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America), which was incorporated in 1981.

PCCA member pharmacists have access to the highest quality pharmaceutical ingredients from PCCA, and can fulfill a prescription using the latest research, quality control processes, and testing technologies to create compounded medications that meet the individual needs of patients.

The company’s members are more than 3,900 independent community pharmacists in the United States, Canada, Australia, and other countries around the world. PCCA was incorporated in 1981 by a network of pharmacists who recognized the need to help patients requiring customized medications. Those pharmacists became pioneers in the modern era of pharmacy compounding.
