SBC is a privately-owned business which specializes in the manufacturing of eastern white cedar shingles. Today, the company is run by the third generation with Mrs. Rita Rancourt at the helm. Owing to her constant concern for quality, the company underwent some major expansion and is now geared mainly toward producing high-end rebutted and resquared (R&R)
white cedar shingles (green, kd and factory-stained), while remaining a leader in the shim industry. In 2008, SBC built a new cedar mulch plant. This new product complete the integration of SBC's cedar complex.
