Founded in 1980 by Joseph Rostad, a Lutheran pastor, Rostad Tours specializes in escorted tours for active adults. The high percentage of repeat travellers is a testament to the personal service and enjoyment our clients experience. The company was established to provide truly meaningful, quality tours to Christian travellers. While our original focus was tours to the Holy Land, our satisfied passengers soon began to ask "Where else can we travel while receiving the same care and attention?" This encouraged us to expand our horizons, adding new destinations over the years to the point where we now send groups to every corner of the world. Now as we enter our 33rd year, we continue to arrange unique escorted tours and cruises for people that want affordable, comfortable and carefree travel. There are many reasons why you should travel with Rostad Tours, but the bottom line is that nowhere else can travellers receive such a consistently superior package.

What do you mean by Tour Hosts and "escorted" tour? Our Tour Hosts travel with you to make sure that your tour experience meets and, hopefully, exceeds your expectations. As it is not practical to send someone from our office on every tour, the Tour Host acts as the Rostad Tours' representative. This means helping with airport check-in, working with local guides, taking care of all the tipping during the tour and dealing with any problems that may occur. Will there be a guide? There are always professional local guides to look after the sightseeing aspects of the tour. Together with the Tour Hosts, they will see to it that you have an educational and worry-free vacation. Do I have to depart from the same city as the Tour Host? Not at all. We can arrange for you to fly from almost any major airport although the price varies from city to city. Be sure to let us know where you would like your travel to originate when you make your deposit. When and where do I meet the Tour Host? The Tour Host will usually have one or more meetings before the trip so people have a chance to meet fellow travellers and ask any questions.

Judy is the newest member of the Rostad team but comes to us with over twenty years of experience in the travel industry. She will be involved in both tour development and marketing and is looking forward to escorting her first Rostad tour in the near future.

We send escorts, called "Tour Hosts" along with our groups to look after important details such as tipping, working with local representatives and dealing with any issues that may arise. Their care and attention ensures our tour members have an enjoyable, worry-free trip. Their friendly nature and hard work are a big part of our success and we pride ourselves on the support we provide our Tour Hosts throughout the tour experience. Over the years most of our Tour Hosts have been members of the clergy, mainly because we started from a background of sending tours to the Holy Land. That has changed over time so that our groups travel all over the world and not all of our Tour Hosts are clergy. We are always looking for active, organized people who would like to promote and escort groups.

2014-03-14 Incredible India Our first foray into India was a great success! Passengers commented that - "It very definitely surpassed my expectations! It was an incredible experience of a lifetime!
