RGA UK officially opened its doors in 1998 and we received a full license to offer reinsurance products in 2000. Just four years later we were RGA’s second-largest revenue producer, and by 2009 we were the largest writer of new individual reinsurance business in the U.K. On January 1, 2012, RGA Reinsurance UK Limited transferred its entire business to the UK Branch of RGA International Reinsurance Company Limited. RGA International Reinsurance Company Limited is a reinsurance company incorporated in Ireland and regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.

We are the only dedicated life reinsurer in the South African market and we support all lines of individual and group life reinsurance business, including financial solutions such as capital-motivated reinsurance and longevity reinsurance to help you manage your capital and risk. In 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 we were ranked #1 in the Business Capability Index by NMG Consulting, which is based on how well we are viewed by insurers in terms of providing quality service and support to our clients. In 2009, we were ranked #1 for group business in the NMG Consulting cedant study.

We provide a comprehensive line of products and services including individual life, individual living benefits and group reinsurance. We also offer financial solutions such as capital-motivated reinsurance and longevity reinsurance (in force blocks) to help you manage your risk and capital needs. We opened as representative office in late 2009 and became a branch office in 2010.
