1957 - 1998 OVER 41 YEARS OF SERVICE TO INDUSTRY

Founded in 1957 as machinery and industrial supplies and Service
Company, R. A. Warren Equipment Ltd. has progressed through various stages. By 1978, the company was well known in Canada as a supplier of remanufactured equipment, replacement parts, and various types of industrial machinery.
MANUFACTURING

The company successfully introduced its Trojan battery powered mining and tunneling locomotive line, available in sizes from 2.5 tonnes to 6 tonnes. At the present time, there are approximately
200 units in operation. As well, the company has developed a new line of hydrostatic and gearbox drive units with battery, diesel and trolley versions. Tandem 10 tonne units (2 X 10 tonnes), hydrostatic 9 tonne units, 15 tonne and 25 tonne battery units have been completed for tunneling operations. A new design
"combination" trolley and battery powered locomotive has been built and is in operation for a major U. S. mining company. The latest machines in production include low profile - very narrow machines for tunnelling operations that range from 6 to 25
Tonnes.

Air powered two-drum and electric three-drum slushers (scraper winches) have been introduced to complement a line of scrapers and slusher pulley blocks (sheaves). Other mining equipment includes mine car dumpers (air cylinders), flat cars, timber trucks (double boggy), personnel carriers, rocker dump mine cars, and Granby type mine cars.

REMANUFACTURING

Warren Equipment's expertise is based on over 40 years' experience in remanufacturing underground mining and tunneling equipment, such as slusher hoists, flat cars, rocker dump cars, air operated dump cylinders, and many other mining products from its plant in North Bay's Seymour Industrial Park. Locomotive test facilities include a multi-gauge test track.

REPLACEMENT PARTS

Warren Equipment has developed a range of replacement parts for air operated overhead shovel loaders, air operated tugger hoists
(winches), battery operated underground mining and tunneling locomotives, centrifugal mine dewatering pumps, and other underground track-type mining equipment.


DISTRIBUTION

Warren Equipment's exports are substantial with contacts through agents in Latin America, Africa, the USA, and Asia. With the development of the Trojan locomotive line, the company has experienced rapid growth in export markets. Warren's expanded production facilities have been modernized to include new CNC cutting, bending and machining equipment ensuring quality products delivered on schedule. Warren Equipment seeks customers anywhere in the world where underground mining and tunneling operations are carried out.
