Description
We are certified welding experts. With forty years of experience in the heavy steel fabrication industry, we are equipped to handle any task. We are certified by the Canadian Welding Bureau to CSA W47.1 Division 2.1 and have over 100 certified CWB and AWS welding procedures. Our stringent quality assurance program ensures that all of your welds meet the highest quality standards.
In 1974, Quinton Steel moved into its current facility, a plant designed by Rick Gajewski, for the sole purpose of manufacturing large steel fabrications. In 1978, Rick's son, Stefan, joined Quinton Steel working in the plant. Using his engineering background from the University of Western Ontario and attending technical college, he learned every aspect of the trade. After 12 years of experience in the plant, Stefan moved into a management position and is currently President of the company.
Quality Quinton Steel is certified by the Canadian Welding Bureau to CSA W47.1 Division 2.1. We have over 100 certified CWB and AWS welding procedures and a retained welding engineer. Many of our welding procedures are certified by the American Welding Society, American Bureau of Shipping, and Det Norske Veritas. We provide our customers with expert welding knowledge- every weld can be qualified with Non-Destructive Testing (N.D.T.), Ultrasonic Inspection (U.T.), or Magnetic Particle Inspection (M.P.I.) performed by qualified third-party inspectors as required.
We manufacture a wide variety of high quality weldments for many different industries, and our products are used by companies worldwide. Most mining equipment, including these winch drums, have exceedingly high welding requirements. In cases like these where quality is of the utmost importance, we utilize ultrasonic testing (UT) and magnetic particle inspection (MPI) to guarantee all of our products are built to last.
As experts in prototype development, we pride ourselves on our ability to collaborate with our customers to find innovative design solutions. Whether designing an initial prototype or adjusting an existing design, we can help you improve efficiency, lower costs, and increase quality by drawing on our wealth of welding knowledge. Our experienced staff members test their ingenuity daily to achieve this goal.
