From its beginning over 34 years ago, in 1972, Prestige Kitchens has grown to become the largest cabinet manufacturer and retailer on Prince Edward Island. Founder, Wayne Parnham, began operations in Summerside with a focus on countertop manufacturing. Soon thereafter, Prestige Kitchens was a fast growing company, moving to a retail storefront in the Summerside Mall. Later in 1985 new construction broke ground on what is now the home of Prestige Kitchens at Reads Corner in Summerside.
