Mr. Dowling has significant experience in marketing and sales. He will apply that experience to broaden the technology depth within Conor’s investments and to provide guidance on sales and marketing programs for each company.
Mr. McKee has been a financial partner since 1995. Mr. McKee has over thirty-five years of experience in the natural resources industry, having risen to senior management at the early age of twenty-nine years. Mr. McKee served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Occidental Petroleum Limited (now Nexen Inc.) from 1983 to 1999. Mr. McKee continues to provide strategic advice to Conor.
Mr. Ellis has worked in the packaged gas industry for over 25 years. Mr. Ellis was with the BOC Group (now Linde Gases) until he became CEO of Tri-Gas Inc. (the $250 mm/year Nippon Sanso subsidiary). Mr. Ellis left Tri-Gas to found / launch a successful entrepreneurial venture, Union Industrial Gases Group, which was a nationwide wholesaler of industrial, medical and specialty gases and related equipment. Union reached $110 mm in sales by 2008 when it was sold to Airgas. Thereafter Mr. Ellis was subject to a non-compete for 5 years. During the non-complete period Mr.
Mr. Davies has over 15 years of experience in accounting, corporate finance, valuation, taxation and mergers and acquisitions. For the 8 years prior to joining Conor he held positions as CFO for two multinational contracting companies focused on underground mining (Dumas Contracting Ltd ($180 mm annual revenue) and Procon Mining and Tunneling ($200 mm annual revenue)). Prior to joining Procon, he was employed with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC ("PwC") for 9 years in their corporate finance group.
Founded in 1990, Conor Pacific Canada was formed to conduct advisory services and to accumulate equity interests in multiple operating companies. Initial partners included Canadian Occidental Petroleum, Imperial Metals and Sterling Capital. In 2000, Conor began acquiring “turnaround” or restructuring investment opportunities that had high earnings potential.
