Nigerian-German artist Nneka has channeled her unique experience of growing up in Africa and Europe to create music that has a global sound and message. Nneka told Pound that she wants to put Africa in "a new, positive light" instead of the negative images that she feels most westerners associate with the continent. The gifted songstress slash rapper also discussed the need for new leaders in Africa, the inspirations for her records and how she never intended to be a musician.
