The Pickseed Group of Companies (the Group) is a private family-owned business headquartered in Lindsay, Ontario. The Group is a recognized leader in the development, production and distribution of turfgrass and forage crop seed. Since its beginning in 1947, the Group has built a trusted and proven reputation for quality, agronomic advice and a commitment to research and technology. The Group has grown to be one of the top ten turfgrass and forage crop seed companies in the world.

The core purpose of the Group is to develop high quality proprietary turfgrass and forage crop seed varieties and brands through research and development, to produce seed in commercial quantities through a proven and reliable grower base, and to distribute seed across a variety of marketing channels with trained, technically competent sales staff. By ensuring that the end user extracts the genetic potential and benefits of the related seed products, the Group earns on-going customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.

The Group operates six processing/warehouse locations in Canada and three in the US from two legal entities, Pickseed USA Inc. (Pickseed USA) and Pickseed Canada Inc. (Pickseed Canada).

Pickseed USA primarily services regional distributors in the North American professional turfgrass seed market. Pickseed Canada distributes a variety of forage crop seed for the Canadian and international markets, as well as professional and consumer turfgrass seed and hybrid corn for the Canadian market.
