Fixed Income Specialist Matt Shandro is advisor to the Pender Corporate Bond Fund. He has over 16 years of experience in fixed income markets, starting as a high-yield analyst at Deans Knight, Vancouver. He is a former portfolio manager at both CI Investments, where he co-managed the largest bond fund in the country, and at Barry Allen’s Marret Asset Management in Toronto. He then managed a private fund at Great Pacific Capital Corp., a subsidiary of Jim Pattison Ltd, back in Vancouver before establishing Fulcra Asset Management.

Mr. O’Kennedy is a seasoned investment executive with over 20 years of experience investing in real estate, North American equities and fixed income.

Mr. Shandro has over 16 years of experience in fixed income markets, starting as a high-yield analyst at Deans Knight, Vancouver in 1997. From 2002 to 2003 he was a Portfolio Manager at Marret Asset Management. Between 2003 and 2006 he co-managed the multi-billion dollar CI Signature High-Income Fund which was named “Canadian Income Trust Fund of the Year”* in 2004. He then managed a private fund at Great Pacific Capital Corp., a subsidiary of Jim Pattison Ltd, back in Vancouver, before establishing Fulcra in 2009.

Matt Shandro with over 15 years of experience is the portfolio advisor to the Pender Corporate Bond Fund and runs the fixed income portion.
