Howard Feigel, the founder of Pedorthic Services, helped establish the pedorthic profession in Canada and provided vision and leadership to the development of the post-graduate diploma program in pedorthics at the University of Western Ontario. Howard founded Pedorthic Services in 1981, expanding from a solo practice to a collaboration of 10 pedorthists, supported by a specialized orthotic laboratory. Howard Feigel Memorial Award On Howard's death in March 2004, the Pedorthic Association of Canada"”together with Howard's family, colleagues and friends"”established the Howard Feigel Memorial Award at the University of Western Ontario.
