The construction of the pressure treating plant represented one of the most successful business stories in central Ontario at the time. It was the first plant to be built in North America with modern, fully automated process controls. Over the next 20 years, Pastway Planing has grown steadily, building new relationships with customers, continually expanding and adding new services to better meet the needs of changing market conditions and our every growing customer base.

Use corrosion-resistant fasteners – Preserved wood is designed for long-term performance in outdoor applications and, therefore, requires nails, screws, fasteners, hardware and metal product that are high quality and corrosion-resistant. Warning – Certain metal products (including fasteners, hardware and flashing) may corrode when in direct contact with pressure treated wood products. To prevent premature corrosion and failure it is important to follow the recommendations of the manufacturers for all metal products.

Pastway Planing leads the Ontario market as a producer of pressure treated Red Pine timbers. We stock a standing inventory of 4x4, 4x6, 6x6, 6x8 and 8x8 up to 24 feet in both treated and untreated. Larger sizes and longer lengths are available by special order.
