P. Machibroda Engineering Ltd. (PMEL) is a geotechnical/geoenvironmental consulting engineering firm established in 1977. PMEL's multidisciplinary staff includes geotechnical/geoenvironmental engineers and geoscientists, engineering technologists, drilling crews and a complimentary design/office support staff. For more than 30 years of practice, PMEL has completed over 6,000 engineering projects.

The specialized geotechnical/geoenvironmental engineering fields of practice include foundation soil investigations, foundation/earthwork design, construction inspection services, groundwater and seepage analysis, and baseline earth science studies.

PMEL owns and operates continuous flight auger drilling rigs and geophysical logging (i.e., spontaneous potential, single point resistance, natural gamma ray and caliper) equipment specifically designed for typical geotechnical and geological subsurface conditions encountered across Western
Canada. PMEL field personnel are safety trained and well experienced in the standard geotechnical/geoenvironmental drilling procedures and sampling protocols. A company Health and Safety protocol is in place. Key personnel staff members have completed the OSHA 40-Hour Health and Safety Hazardous Work
Sites courses.

PMEL maintains a fully equipped materials testing laboratory to evaluate soils, concrete and asphaltic materials. PMEL maintains a state-of-the-art computer facility. PMEL computer resources include computer-aided drafting/design (CADD) facilities, word processing and a full suite of programs required for engineering modelling, analysis and geotechnical engineering design.

PMEL is registered to practice and maintains certificates of authorization to practice geotechnical/geoenvironmental consulting engineering in the provinces of Manitoba,
Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. PMEL is a member of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Canada. PMEL maintains offices in Saskatoon, SK and Edmonton, AB.
